MG: Soup Kitchen

Tagged Under :

Assalam Alaikum Sisters and Brothers,

We were contacted by the Shepherds of Good Hope to help them this weekend! They’ve had a team cancel on them last minute! So, insha’Allah, MAC Give will be holding a Soup Kitchen event, this Saturday! Not only is this a good opportunity to give back to society, as Allah (swt) and His messenger have commanded us to do, it is also an opportunity to give a more accurate image of Muslims and the values we uphold.

The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) was once asked: “Who is the dearest person to Allah?” He said: “Those who are most useful to (other) people.”

On July 16th 8:30AM – 1PM we will need all of you to help us in this event.

Please sign up here, all the information is also provided in the link: http://www.jotform.com/form/11925958763

NOTE: Please register ASAP! Only 15 spots!

If you need more info, please don’t hesitate to contact the MAC Give Committee @ give @ ottawamacyouth.ca

God Says in the Holy Quran: “By (the Token of) Time (through the ages); Verily Man is in loss; Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.”

Assalamu Alykum Everyone,

Doing righteous deeds is an obligation on us.

Serving our communities is an ideal way to do this.

And, Strive-2-Serve (S2S) is the newest and most exciting way to serve your community this summer!  It takes volunteering to a whole new level!
